The OS_HS Series Offset Half Surface Continuous Geared Hinge is used when extra clearance is needed when the door is open to 90-degrees. This hinge allows the door to stay wide open or flat to the wall, avoiding damage from carts, dollies, pallets, and more.
Features
- Allows door to swing out further to allow more clearance
- Allows door to stay wide open or to be flush against the wall
- Special FirePins are only required on 3-Hour (A-Label) assemblies
- Certain door and frame conditions may require an extra 1/32"-1/16" clearance
- Excessive clearance on fire rated assemblies may violate the requirements for NFPA 80
- Allows door to be flat to the wall to avoid damage from carts, dollies and pallets
- Hollow metal door and frame manufacturers? standard is acceptable
- Removal of hinge reinforcements in the door and frame is not advised
- Guaranteed for the life of the opening against defects in material (HD only)
