The Aegis Bored Lock is well suited for either new construction or retrofit projects, but it really shines in a retrofit application. It has been designed to perfectly fit into existing cylindrical lock preps making this security upgrade fast and easy. Any minor modifications can easily be done in the field without voiding warranty or fire-label.
The Aegis Bored Lock features a heavy-duty stainless-steel escutcheon with a large message indicator on both sides of the lock. This important feature is critically important when safety is compromised. Occupants inside the room or personnel in the hallway can identify the lock's status in an instant!
