Details: Pemko HS Series Half Surface Continuous Geared Hinge

The HS Series Half Surface Continuous Geared Hinge is designed mainly for retrofit work and is applied to the exposed surface of the door and frame rabbet. This hinge allows for adjustments for proper alignment, and is designed for use with hollow metal frames where the insert conforms to SDI specifications for aligning doors and frames.

Features

Standard and heavy duty versions available
For use with hollow metal frames where inset conforms to SDI specifications for aligning doors and frames
Allows for adjustments to properly align the edge of the door to the frame
Applied to exposed surfaces of the door and frame
Frame portion fasteners are 12-24 × 7/16" FHUC, Type C, threadforming
Certain door and frame conditions may require an extra 1/32"-1/16" clearance
Special FirePins are only required on 3-Hour (A-Label) assemblies
Special hinge reinforcements are not required
Hollow metal door and frame manufacturers? standard is acceptable
Removal of hinge reinforcements in the door and frame is not advised
Guaranteed for the life of the opening against defects in material or workmanship
Excessive clearance on fire rated assemblies may violate the requirements for NFPA 80
